Travessia is an Eco Beach Lodge that is all about understated barefoot-luxury. A mere one and a half hours drive from the airport of Inhambane, and just six kilometres of sand track away from the main road, the lodge is accessible enough for a long weekend break and yet remotely enough still to give you an instant cast-away feeling.

The lodge is built among the dunes along the beach, nestled between bush and palm trees and with carefully chosen spots to maximize privacy and sea views whilst maintaining proximity of the rooms to the lounge, restaurant and the beach. The buildings are constructed on elevated wooden decks with timber and roll-up canvas walls under a roof thatched with local makuti. Wooden walkways lead from the rooms to the Lodge’s reception area and restaurant, with a lounge and a spacious deck, overlooking the palm grove and the sea. The lodge is entirely solar powered – ensuring a light environmental footprint.
